Simbarashe on Production...While Sandia prepares for its October 1st show at the Music Depot in San Lorenzo, I've been busy with more logistical aspects of the band. Did some spot recording on Wednesday by hanging a condenser mic over the four instruments (amps and bass drums pointed to centre). I was able to mix down the noise all right but then forgot to normalise before converting the files to mp3, so all you hear is quiet, tinny whisper.
Today I'm off to Sacramento to record some arrangments on piano. Among the few songs I hope to complete is a song called "Aeris" for now. I don't have completed lyrics per se, but then again most of you know that I rarely write my lyrics anyway.
In the next couple of weeks the band will get together in San Francisco for an official shoot; hoping all goes well with that.
