Simbarashe is FAMOUS yo.

I haven't felt this level of celebrity since I modelled in NYC a few years ago...

I'm not talking about the Unplugged set, actually, rather dancing. Sometimes I go out and people run up and go "oh, you're that GUY" or "oh, you're THAT guy!" or "oh, look! It's the DANCER!" Was flattering a few months ago has sort of turned into this "yeah, all right, blah blah" routine. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. But you'd think after a few months people (that have seen you before mind you) would actually care to come up and say something 'human'. So here's my short and uninteresting biopic of dancing:

I really did learn to do it in the bathroom, as some people think I only shrudely say because I'm an ass. Truth is, I learned only because there was a point in time when [people, if I'm being P.C. about this] wouldn't dance with me. Either I was ugly or uncoordinated-whatever-but that was the case. So I learned in the bathroom to dance by myself. I fiugre, if ho-bags and pigeons don't want to associate themselves with me then I could either stay home or find a way to enjoy dancing on my own. So I learned how to improvise, if you will. Then I went to New York where people are too drunk to care how well a person can dance anyway...then moved back out west. Annnnnnd viola. Hmm, funny how that works. Which isn't to say that I'm totally cynical about the whole thing: I mean, there's a lot of fun and trouble you can get into by being able to do this little thing called dancing. But it really gets interesting when you go out to a place to dance for the sake of dancing. Suddenly, those ho-bags and pigeons are wondering why I'm not paying them any attention. So they gotta come up and do the 'gay litmus test'. They find out I'm not gay and that really drives them up the wall. "you really shouldn't be dancing alone, you know...." No, I really shouldn't be dancing with YOU. So I sort of like having those bail-out dance partners; you know, the ones that come scoop you up when annoying people bang for your attention.

Yeah, and you thought those were only for hot chicks...

Simbarashe Loves Donica Pine

I've completed proofing 2 of the 7 principle characters in Everybody Hates Donica Pine. In of itself doesn't seem like much but, I think I've found the most effective way of doing it, rather than proofing from start to finish. The advantage is that I can stick with one character and their voice, mood, and state of mind at a time. I've found that proofing in this manner makes things go be a hell of a lot faster.

Saw Bourne Supremecy today. Dunno if it's better than the first. Though, one thing I like much better than the first is the fact that, they do a better job of explaining some of the things that go down. There were a few times during the first movie when I thought to myself, 'what the hell was that all about?'

In case you didn't get the cat that got let loose from Hiroko's bag, the Simbarashe: Unplugged acoustic songs will be available on the internet by tomorrow evening. I don't think I'm going to upload the entire set - possibly just the original songs, but you still get a first listen to the songs that will appear on the forthcoming Simsploitation! record. A decision hasn't been made on the Life in the Heights lost album. I might post a song or two from there as well.

Back to proofing. La revedere

life resumes.

after turning 25 on saturday i realised today that i didn't take any time to reflect back on how life has been thus far and where it should be headed. as a friend ponders every so often i wonder if it means i am becoming jaded. hmm.

proofing continues on 'donica pine'. that book is way too big and it's taking me way much longer than i anticipated to finish. but in good news, expect to see new audio tracks online soon. actually, much sooner than you think. finally got around to restoring one of the hard disks over the weekened. will finish up with the second by the end of the week and hopefully everything will be back to business as usual.

and in the good news section of the day, i finally got around to rebuilding one of my hard disks to get windows reinstalled. this means that 1) i'll be able to get cubase back up and running (which means new music for you) and 2) my internet connection is finally restored at the house. woohoo.

Internet Free Me

My cable provider seriously needs to get to my house, or mail me a new modem before I go postal.

In other news, my telly blew a fuse today. How often does that happen? I was seriously thinking 'woooooooow'
