overcast

clouds rolled in. temperature at 62 degrees. slight wind, no rain-yet. pigeons circle the roundabouts before departing down the lane. air is thick. sky is billowing with grey frosty matter up there. it's so quiet.

foreigner

being out of california is a mixed can of applesauce right now. i'll decide if i missed it any whenever it is i'm back home. i've been listening to the mixdown of the sessions a lot over the past few days, on many different audio systems (which is nice i suppose) because i've been able to hear the strengths of certain aspects of the recordings in different ways as well as the weaknesses. as i've been quite worried about the warmth of the guitars i've discovered that they actually sound quite right. but sometimes the vocals come through with clarity and sometimes they don't. the mixes still need some tweaking for sure. but at least the recordings for the most part are all solid. a final trackist hasn't been decided, but it's close. more lyrics have been uploaded to the site, so they'll be posted probably at the time the tracklist is decided upon. in meantime ai will probably sort the songs by what will be on the album and what won't. seems like a fair task, shouldn't be too difficult.

so i decided that i'll come up with a list of new resolutions for when i get home. i've never been a new year's resolution type of person (you're ALL hypocrites) but i think this should be a do-able list. we shall see.
